The Solstice Pause 2027 Retreat Booking Terms
These terms apply to bookings for The Solstice Pause, a summer solstice yoga retreat taking place at The Westwood Centre, Huddersfield, England, in June 2027. Please read them before booking. They form the agreement between me and you once your place is confirmed.
Retreat dates: Friday 18th – Sunday 20th June 2027.
1. Who we are
The retreat is organised by Tash Sekar (Tash Sekar Yoga) (“we”, “us”, “our”).
You can contact us at natashasekar@gmail.com
2. How booking works
-
You submit a booking request using the form on this website.
-
We contact you to confirm availability, discuss your chosen accommodation and explain how to pay your deposit.
-
Your booking is confirmed once we have received your £150 deposit and sent you written confirmation by email.
Until your booking is confirmed, your requested accommodation is not guaranteed and may be offered to another guest.
You must be aged 18 or over to make a booking.
3. Prices, deposit and balance
The price of your retreat depends on your chosen accommodation and occupancy. The price shown for your selected option on the booking page, together with your booking confirmation, will confirm the amount payable.
-
Deposit: £150 per person, payable to secure your place.
-
Remaining balance: due by 1 February 2027.
We will provide payment instructions when confirming your booking. You may pay by the methods offered, including card payment or bank transfer where arranged.
We will send you reminder for the payment 1 week before the due date. If you are unable to pay your balance by the due date, please contact us as soon as possible. If the balance remains unpaid and we have been unable to agree an alternative arrangement with you, we may cancel your booking and release your place, subject to applicable law.
Prices include the accommodation, meals, sessions and activities specifically listed on the retreat website at the time of booking. They do not include travel to or from the venue, travel insurance or personal spending unless expressly stated.
The deposit and balance are subject to the cancellation terms in section 5.
4. What's included
Your retreat package includes:
-
Two nights’ accommodation at The Westwood Centre.
-
Morning pranayama, Hatha yoga and meditation sessions.
-
An evening sleepy restorative yoga practice.
-
All meals listed in the retreat programme.
-
An afternoon snack on Saturday.

A summer solstice wreath-making workshop on Sunday.
-
An optional slow walk or hike on Saturday afternoon, led by your host, Tash.

Time and space to rest, read, spend time outdoors, nap or simply do nothing.
The programme is designed to be gentle and flexible. All yoga sessions, walks and creative activities are optional, and you are welcome to decide on the day what feels right for you.
Please check the retreat website for the latest programme and details of what is included.
Check-in and check-out: timings will be confirmed before the retreat. We will share arrival instructions and any venue-specific requirements with you in advance.
Venue: The Westwood Centre, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. Full travel and arrival information will be provided before the retreat.
5. If you need to cancel
Please tell us in writing (email is fine) as soon as you can. The following applies:
-
The £150 deposit is non-refundable at any point.
-
Cancelling more than 8 weeks before the retreat: the balance is refunded in full if already paid.
-
Cancelling 4 to 8 weeks before: half of the balance is refunded.
-
Cancelling less than 4 weeks before: no refund, as costs will already have been committed to the venue and caterer.
-
If we are able to resell your place, we will refund what we reasonably can, less the deposit and any costs incurred.
You may transfer your place to someone else, with our agreement, provided they meet the same conditions. This is why we strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation (see section 8).
.
6. If we cancel or change the retreat
If we need to cancel the retreat, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available options, including a refund of payments made to us for the retreat, as required by law.
We cannot guarantee that every element of the programme will take place exactly as advertised. We may make reasonable changes to timings, teachers, activities, meals or arrangements if necessary because of weather, safety, illness, venue requirements or circumstances beyond our control.
We will notify you of any significant changes as soon as reasonably possible. If a significant change materially affects the retreat you booked, we will discuss the options available to you in accordance with your legal rights.
Outdoor activities depend on weather and ground conditions. The Saturday walk or hike may be changed, shortened or cancelled if conditions make it unsuitable or unsafe. All activities are optional.
7. Your health, wellbeing and participation
The Solstice Pause is intended to offer a gentle, supportive space to rest and reconnect. Yoga, breathwork, meditation, walking and other activities are optional, and you are encouraged to participate only in ways that feel appropriate for you.
-
You are responsible for deciding whether an activity feels suitable for you and for working within your own limits.
-
Please tell us before the retreat about any injury, health condition, allergy, pregnancy, dietary requirement or access need that may affect your participation or safety.
-
If you are unsure whether an activity is suitable for you, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before taking part.
-
Yoga, breathwork and meditation are not medical treatment and are not intended to replace professional medical advice.
-
You may pause, modify or leave a session whenever you need to.
-
We may ask you not to participate in a particular activity if we reasonably believe doing so would create a safety risk for you or someone else.
Please also tell us about dietary requirements as early as possible. We will do our best to communicate these to the relevant food provider, but any specific arrangements or limitations will be discussed with you before the retreat.
8. Insurance
We recommend that you consider travel insurance covering cancellation, personal belongings, accidents and any other risks relevant to your circumstances.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any responsibility we have under applicable law.
9. Accommodation
Accommodation is provided at The Westwood Centre. Room options, occupancy arrangements and prices will be described on the retreat booking page.
Please check the details of your chosen accommodation before booking. If you are booking with another guest, let us know if you wish to share a particular flat or bedroom.
Any request for a private bedroom or exclusive use of a flat is subject to availability and the price confirmed at booking. A private bedroom within a shared flat is not the same as sole occupancy of the entire flat.
We will share relevant arrival, departure and accommodation information before the retreat. Please respect the venue, its facilities and other guests. You may be responsible for damage you cause beyond fair wear and tear, subject to applicable law.
10. Behaviour and shared space
We want everyone to feel comfortable, respected and welcome. Please be considerate of other guests, venue staff, neighbours and the peaceful surroundings.
We reserve the right to take reasonable action, including asking a guest to leave, where their behaviour is threatening, discriminatory, abusive or seriously disruptive, or creates a significant safety concern. Any decision about refunds in such circumstances will be handled fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
11. Photography
We may wish to take photographs during the retreat for future promotional use. We will ask for your permission before using identifiable photographs of you for this purpose. Saying no will not affect your participation in the retreat.
You can change your mind about future use of your photographs by contacting us. This will not necessarily affect material that has already been lawfully printed or published.
Please also respect other guests’ privacy and ask their permission before photographing or sharing identifiable images of them.
12. Our responsibility to you
We will take reasonable care and skill in organising and delivering the retreat.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights you have under consumer law.
Subject to those obligations, we are not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated, or for services provided independently by third parties, except where the law makes us responsible.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
13. Cancellation rights under consumer law
The retreat is a leisure service provided on specific dates. The usual 14-day cancellation right for many distance contracts may not apply to bookings for leisure activities provided on a specific date or during a specific period. The position depends on the circumstances and applicable law.
Your contractual cancellation terms are set out in section 5, alongside any rights you have under applicable consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
14. Complaints
If something is not right during the retreat, please tell us as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to help.
If you would prefer to raise a concern after the retreat, please email natashasekar@gmail.com. We will aim to respond within 14 days.
15. Privacy
We will use your personal information to manage your booking, communicate with you, arrange accommodation and meals, and support your safe participation in the retreat.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in this section removes any rights you may have to bring proceedings in another court where applicable law allows you to do so.
Before publishing: replace all square-bracketed placeholders, confirm the retreat dates and venue arrangements, and finalise the cancellation and refund policy.
